Sapphire Stars Dance/Drill Team
Sapphire Stars is a competitive dance team where student leaders exemplify and promote school spirit, pride, and sportsmanship through competitive contests.

Sapphire Stars give the students of Chavez High School an opportunity to:
1. Render service to the school by participating as a spirit and entertainment organization at various athletic, school and community functions.
2. Develop competitive dance skills and demonstrate these skills at contest.
3. Foster good fellowship.
4. Build school loyalty and pride.
5. Encourage high morals and standards among its members.
6. Develop the ability to work as a team in achieving common goals.
7. Function as school leaders by serving as an example of proper attitude and behavior in the classroom.
8. Promote community relations and develop a strong sense of community within the Houston area.

Our dancers foster good fellowship, build school loyalty and pride, as well as encourage high morals and standards among its members and help them develop the ability to work as a team in achieving common goals.
 

The Lobo Theatre Company is composed of dreamful, hardworking, motivated young Actors and Technicians striving for greatness today to make tomorrow better. In a Title 1 community where the budget is small, but the hope remains, our small group of students work their hardest every day to stand out and be who they truly are through the arts. We, as a company, have the power to be the change we want to see in the world, by shaping young minds and preparing them for greatness.

 Subjects offered:

 Acting- building valuable life skills such as public speaking, confidence, team building, problem solving, self-expression, and awareness.

Technical Theatre- honing an area of design, such as lighting, sound, scenic design, costume design, hair and makeup, stage management, and more!
